Good fit for: Businesses that want someone else to keep the website current, secure and working.
What care covers
We agree in writing what your plan includes, so there's no guessing about what counts as maintenance. Depending on the plan, care can cover:
- Hosting on a fast, secure server with an SSL certificate
- Software and plug-in updates, tested after each change
- Daily backups kept off the server, and a tested way to restore them
- Monthly checks that forms deliver, links work and pages load fast
- Small edits: hours, prices, staff, photos, a new special
- Watching for downtime, with a person who answers when it happens
You stay in control
Your domain, your hosting account and your content stay in your business's name. We keep a simple record of every account, who owns it and when it renews, and we hand it all over if you ever leave. That's the part most businesses lose track of, and it's the part that hurts most when it goes wrong.
Taking over a site someone else built
We often pick up sites when a designer moves on or a nephew goes to college. We start with an inventory: where the domain is registered, where the site is hosted, what it's built on and who has the passwords. Then we back it up before touching anything.
How you'll see the results
Bridge shows site visits and any drops that suggest something broke, alongside the record of updates we made. See what Bridge shows.
Questions people ask
Can you host a site you didn't build?
Usually. We'll check what it's built on and whether it's in good enough shape to maintain, and tell you honestly if it isn't.
What if my site goes down?
Call or text us. If your plan includes monitoring, we're alerted automatically. Because backups are kept off the server, a broken update can be rolled back.
What if we stop working together?
Your domain, hosting and content stay yours. We hand over every login and file, and help the next person get started.
